With every great invention, discovery or revolution there are individuals integral to its happening. If it were not for a tree and an apple, Newton may never have known gravity. And if it had not been for Galileo, Newton might never have cared. Galileo might have never been curious about the stars if not for Copernicus and so on and so on. Albert Einstein has said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning”. Thanks to all the amazing minds that have learned from those who came before, we now have technology and insight that makes discoveries like the EPFX possible.
Many of the great minds on the following pages have made discoveries on which our technology is based. Many are Nobel Prize winners for their discoveries. Some were punished and ridiculed for their theories and for some it was their willingness to defy those in power that made future discoveries possible.
